Im an 18 yr old lad playing FM since the old CM 01/02 days

but i think that the game has been going downhill since about 08, they have tried to bring in new features to make the game more commercial but i think we need to go back to the good old days like cm 01/02 just basic management,
i recently got cm 0102 again to compare the games and i could not believe the difference and how much more i kept playing the old cm,
compared to new FM its lacking something to keep me addicted to it, which i hope they fix in FM11
ive noticed a huge difference in game time fm08 i played for over a 1000 hours fm09 just over 800 hours and fm10 only 300 hours, due to i dont know but this needs to be addressed and get me re addicted to the game
but it still wont stop me running to the shop the morning fm11 is out

I used to think the same, championing 01/02 above all others (what a game...) but I turned around the time of 09, was half into it but when I bought 10 I couldn't go back. 01/02 is amazing and rapid (ah the times of a season a day) but without half the media features, training, scouting not to mention match features it'd just feel too empty.

At the time it was great but now that the features are here I definitely need them

you see i dont need features, i hate the media feature i let my assistant take care of that,
scouts i dont use them i always fire them and find the players myself i love going sorting players into what i rate and finding the future stars myself
and i think in all ive only watched 15 min of a match in 3d
all in all get back to basics

1) the media feature are part of real life, what actually need is an massive expansion from the stock answers

2) again scouts, used in real life, though i'd like to see an overhaul of how they scout, like seeing it on a map

3) just becuase you dont watch it in 3d doesnt mean it should be scrapped.

FM10 still has flaws, but all in all its an improvement on fm08

FM10 is the only game that I've bought for PC that is football-related.

I think it's a good game, however I would like to see some big improvements in the next series.

Yeh same, except I started playing FM from FM09 (on PC).

i started with fm08, barely played it then 09 i played alot, but fm10 i enjoy most.

I never played the CM series (not into management games then) and my first FM was 06 which was great. I think that FM has slowly gotten better each year, that's why I buy it each year! I say I won't but then I see it at my friends house and get it. But I would say FM 10 was the best but I guess it's all down to personal preference.

My first was 07 and for me that was the best, i became dissolusioned with Fm09 and only this site got me into Fm10. I agree that 2d is better and a lot less complicated, but i like the media features and also the new Regens system. Do they make new Champ. Mans?

FM08 was good for me, loved it but by god the match engine even just two years down the line is 10 times better.

I think all the FM's are getting progresively better and more realistic. Definetly not going down hill!

definetly not going downhill its more of a car in cruise control going up the hill it gets better and still manages to progress.
Personally my favourite was FM 06 and 08

In terms of stability, I'd say Football Manager 10 was probably the worst FM game. However, I still put it second only to 09 in terms of overall quality. So I'd say getting a lot better

yes they still make champ manager games but they suck compared to FM. They're so bad that Champ 10 or 09 allowed u to pay whatever you wanted for the game (5 quid or summit was minimum i think) and even then some people sed they thort it wasnt worth it! (H)

I was always an LMA Manager Guy and I bought CM08 and was into that and bought CM10, In my opinion it was too complicated, then I found FM10 and I absolutely adore it. I am actually adicted to it and FM10 + FM-Base = Relaxing Heaven!

I disagree, FM10 is great if you are someone like me who loves the real life aspect of it.
I love how realistic it is, (apart from when I was 4-0 up with Bury and lost 5-4 in my first game as Bury boss!) XD
But yeah, if you dont like realism, maybe it isnt for you and I would totally understand that as there in no more realistic management game out there than FM10.

The sole aim is to make the most realistic Football-Management simulation game in the world which it is...withoout the scouting, training and media feature you wont be immeresed into the game and it would feel empty and lost,I truly believe that FM has changed for the better and still a lot more things could be added to it

yep i agree with both parties. You should be able to choose a fast pace new game or more in depth game for both type of users i.e being able to cancel features in game to overall increase the games pace. I do like the in-depth but the game season is by far to long.....
