Fm update version 5 2009/2010 season

I started with Newcastle, did well in the friendlies but lost against Nottm Forest and drew against Crystal Palace, so not doing that well, I'm sure the team will pick up soon though, Mick Ashley is still Chairman as well, I want him out so I can get a new board in lol. :D
 
im going to start as newcastle aswell to bring the good times back for sir bobby!

can anyone help, ive downloaded the update into 'my documents/downloads'. where do i go from here?

You have to extract the files to

C:\Program Files\Steam\SteamApps\common\football manager 2009\data\db

If you do not have steam then

C:\Program Files\football manager 2009\data\db
 
thanks mate, once ive moved it over do I have to restart the computer before it will work?
 
I'm guna edit Chris' edit abit, free players from premiership clubs ect..

bristol rovers, mike green is now on loan at gloucester city and so is alex kite for the season, richard langley and liam harwood were only ever trialists at the start of season 08/09 and has never played for rovers so god knows where they shoud be now lol, we have just signed fraser forster from newcastle on loan, and rhys evans, just thought id try n help ur doing great job chris is really appreciated ur making the game alot more enjoyable for lots of fm fanatics!! cheers!!
 
how comes every club i choose has the same wage budget as current wage?
 
im really having trouble getting this to work. ive downloaded the update no problem at all and i have moved it in to 'my computer/C/programme files/sports interactive/football manager 2009/db' like people have told me to. But when i come to click on new game it just loads up as normal and doesnt give me a choice as to what data base i want to use? i would really appreciate any help you can give me as i really want to play on it!

You simply extract the folder/update into my doccuments - sports interactive - football manager 2009 - db,
 
yeah that youth player of mine was out for like three weeks if i sent him home, but about 10 days if i left him to the physio. not letting my whole squad get it though...
 
was out yesterday just tryna download it now but its sayin''not enough storage in rar file ''anyone any ideas?

have u installed the latest update 9.3.0 patch?if u have'nt then u wont be able to do this new update thats been done
