Couldnt agree more, check this french agent out, he owns most of the french youngsters and top talents like malouda ribery etc (even gyan). Seems to be one common denominator with agents that are like you said...they are all french!
This guys stats are ridiculously stubborn and greedy

Gentlemen, I don't think the agents in FM2011 are predetermined. The agents are the same for you guys because you are all using the same save file (the pre-made England demo save). If you load a different save, for example Spain or France, the agents are all different.

Some people have noted that there are Spanish and French agents who have large stables of many high profile players. I believe the reason for this is that you do not have that country loaded (and it's also a small database), thus there are very few non-playing staff (agents) based in that country and the only players loaded are the high-profile ones and top teams. When you create a game on the full version, you'll probably have a large database with more leagues loaded, meaning way more agents and more non-star players... so your agents based on those leagues will have a better mix of a couple stars and then a bunch of lesser players. To illustrate my point, I've posted 2 screenshots showing these "super foreign agents" including an English one (using the France save), and then 2 screenshots from the Spain save, showing Spanish agents with only a couple players each.

Note Wayne Rooney is his agent's only client if you play in England, but he shares an agent with 30 other guys if you play in France (England not loaded). Also note that the large Spanish agent's client list (from the France save) is nearly identical to IanC's screenshot View attachment 110917, but the agent's stats and name are different (less greedy too:D).

Do the agents act as some sort of a scout as well. Where **** approach you with some potential signings.

You cant just type in search 'agents' got to check players personal page and click the agents name link
Italian agents seem to adore me for some reason :/
They are very patient and negotiable...just the **** french
 
yes i have looked at my players and there is nowhere, where it says agent is so and so
 
this guy is pretty annoying, when I was trying to purchase Alex Smithies, and the negotiations were a pain. He demands a large fee, but he has a lot of patience

i like the option where if u offer them a one year contract and they play over a certain amount of games they earn a new 1 year contract, i use it for older players, and also with younger players you give them a 5 year contract for lets say £5,000 after they play like 30 games it will be £8,000 a week
 
i started a quick game tried buying a player think it was alexis sanchez, his agent told me unless he got 600k he would not even put the offer to his player and negotiations will go no further , so when i put the contract offer in i offered the agent 50k and he said "every thing seems fine here ill pass the contract on to my player" just seemed random
 
Agents seem pointless, I just signed Hugo Almedia and paid a £0 agent fee, even though the agent was demanding money
