If 10 was the best You started at 7/8 and ended at 9/10 even more so if you are plugging in a Tactic you already know works well from FM23. That statement makes no sense at all.
If you pick the best team in a league, it's going to have the best players. I you pick the worst team, it's going to have the poorest players.

What team did you manage?
I started my current save with Bray Wanderers and my players, facilities and budget is utter w.ank.
