Practically impossible to sign good newgens this year. I'm angry but equally relieved. Love a long, long, long term game but when you can sign every new Messi/Ronaldo/Rooney each year for under £5m you end up with the greatest team ever.

Had a save on FM10 where I'm Man Utd and I've so many good youngsters that I loaned them to Royal Antwerp. Champions League final in 2040-something was Man Utd v Antwerp. I lost on penalties. To what was essentially my reserve team!!

and a lot of teams would free transfer their brightest talents, especially in African teams,
i did a few journeyman saves and free transfer regens were a huge game changer in some leages with lower quality
nice to know the game will be more challenging this year
