Its such a bad game, i got it as well, and it doesnt matter what team you are, or what tactic you use, you will struggle.

I beat man city 5-1, yet could only draw with west brom, the transfers are unrealistic, i.e. reo coker to man city for 7m when i signed albiol for 10.

anyway, sorry for going off topic a bit, i use the 442 attacking, with the wingers as inside forwards and my left back as a wing back. one of my strikers is a deep lying striker and a CM as a box to box midfielder.

i get a few wins, and sit 2nd in the league

Does anyone has a good tactic for my Man U team?

I play in a 4-1-3-2 formation.
Players:

berbatov rooney

modric fletcher anderson
hargreaves

evra, brown, vidic, rafael,

Subs: Hernandez, Obertan, Gibson, Carrick.

Well, after hours of trial and failures, i have come up with a great strategy for Manchester United,
1st in Premier Divison
1st in CL group fase with no goals against me.

Formation: 4-1-3-2
Instructions:
Attacking
Short
Commited
pressing: yes
The others all no.

Player Roles:

Backwings: Full back
Central Defenders: Central Def.
Defending Midfielder: Ball Winning
Midfielders:
Left> Central Midfielder
Right> Central Midfielder
Middle> Deep Lying
Strikers: Complete Forward.

If you'd care to PM me with any specific issues then I'll happily look into improving them during the updating of the game.

(and the latter part of your post tends to contradict the 'you will struggle' somewhat?)

Incidentally I've been tweaking the match engine further over the xmas period and hopefully the refinements which will be present in that version will help change your mind about the game.

It depends on your team, and formation. So if you could tell me your first team, I can help。

ive used this insanely good 4-4-2 that i read somewhere and it works!

4-4-2 normal
team mentality - attacking
passing style - short
tackling - normal
pressing - yes
offside trap - no
counter attack - no
men behind ball - no

i was in npower league 1 and i win 70% of the time. won npower league 1 and johnstone's paint trophy for my first season

4-1-2-1-2 (Narrow diamond) high possession totally dominate play need good goalscorers to convert the great service.

3-5-2 (2 deep lying mid lcm and rcm, cm adv pm) best player on team needs to be playmaker as he'll be topping assists and top 3 scorers, this formation revolves around him

Both work great, tweek team playing roles eg short direct etc to your team

Hope this helps someone!

4-4-2 attacking
team mentality - normal
passing style - short
tackling - hard
pressing - no
offside trap - yes
counter attack - no
men behind ball - no

Have one striker as a poacher, one as a target man - with the central midfield distribute roles according to their strengths but try to have one as a more defensively positioned player and one as a more attacking.

Finally with the wingers I often find I have an AML/FC or similar on the wing - in that case if his finishing is good I put his role as an inside forward.

(I've taken Brighton to dominance with this tactic - so its fairly solid, but I wouldn't say its an 'uber tactic' - as with most such things it helps to have the right style of players available)

I use 3-5-2, or on occasion 4-1-2-1-2 with Chelsea, Balanced Team Mentality, Short Passing Style, Committed Tackling, and Pressing on.

I went 36-1-1 in my first season, and I won everything there was to win in my first season.

how a bout try a 4-3-3

good centre backs (sakho, varane, hummels, chiellini, kjaer)
wing backs attack ( coentrao would be ur best bet on the left theres also atila turan and lucas digne while the right u can go with appiah, santon, aurier both future stars and very consistent

a adv playmaker (gotze, cairney, kevin, kovacic, uysal (best bet if u are to replace scholes)
box to box mid (sami khedira)
deep lying mid ( lorenzo cristege, moussa sisokho, yaan m'villa )

adv forward (kadlec)
poacher ( babacar,lukaku,sanogo,araujo)
complete forward ( hulk)

set team style to attacking passing to direct and change the rest to default and you should see the difference

this tactic was tested on liverpool, real madrid, santos and new castle
