I honestly would just like to see improvements on current problems. For example, watching "extended" or "key" highlights during a live match can be frustrating. The game will force you to spend a minute to watch a player walking half the **** field and back to punt up the ball to a player and then will "skip" one second of game time while the player picks the ball up and puts it down in the proper place. Seriously annoying.

There are some quirks with the game, like when you're on an extended run of draws, the game gets confused and can't figure out whether you're on a bad run of no wins or on a good run of no losses. Or when a player is demanding a new contract, but doesn't want to enter negotiations. Just small things here and there.

I like the layout - I think it's very efficient for all the information that's in the game. I'd hate to see FM switch to a new "modern" look that would be hard to navigate.

I don't think that having some side of your personal life represented is "gimmicky" - I get a salary in the game, so why can't I do something with it? I don't want the whole FIFA treatment where you can go out to find a girlfriend or whatnot, but some small things would be nice I think.

Two major improvements I'd like to see:

1) Player interactions - they definitely took a step forward since FM11, but still read very formulaic.
2) Contracts/transfers - those definitely need to be made more realistic. I usually play lower leagues so I see this in the contracts especially and in particular when agents come in. I wanted to sign a 17-year old Austrian player and his agent rejected a $1400/pw salary with a $2000/pw after 10 international matches (which would have made him by far the best paid player in my team), but when the player left the agent, he signed for me for $150/pw on a 3-year contract and has recently signed a new 5-year full-time contract for $550/pw. Doesn't make any sense.

Helping your players settle should be more important in the game. Every player can start off unsettled when transferring, and you can hire a specialist or something, that would be neat.

Coaching attributes for user managers. It would help with training players and the attributes can be built up over time depending on tactical preferences and player relationships etc. You could also spend your salary on boosting these attributes.

Being able to learn languages. I get incredably frustrated when I sign a promising youngster and he can't communicate with anyone. That would help foriegn players settle in better. Could be another way to spend that money.

I don't particularly want stadium design in-game, but perhaps in the editor you could specify where the non-seated areas are, whether or not there is an athletics track surrounding the pitch, seating tiers etc.
