Challenge for today will be Lionel Messi at Newell's Old Boys.

What will change?

- Will born in 1997
- Current Ability=120
- Potential Ability=-10
- Will be at Newell's Old Boys on a youth contract
- Only Argentine citizen
- All things he achieved at Barca is deleted
- 0 International Apps
- No playing history
- Only likes Newell's Old Boy
- Only dislikes Rosario Central

Basically Messi is a brand new footballer so now lets see if he can emulate his career?

Morning guys. I had to simulate the messi career over night because it was a large database with 6 top leagues loaded and 20 seasons had to be simulated at one go. I will post the messi soon. I will not show his development in detail. I will show his attributes from the start, his peak and the end of his career.

Spoilers: He retires from football and does not carry on working as a member of staff.

OVERVIEW
Messi had emulated his career but he did even better than expected by winning 9 Ballon d'Or's and scoring over 380 goals in his career. Despite never winning a World Cup he did win over 111 individual and team awards which is quite an achievement. He is a AS Roma legend by no surprise and all I can say is Messi will always be one of the greatest footballers in history within any era he could dominate.​

Today's Challenge is how would Yugoslavia fair if they were in international football? This challenge will only run until 2020 at the most. I would like to see how they fair at the world cup and at the euro's. I need to create this database which may take some time to sort out the world cup/ euro's qualifying.

The states I recognise as the Former Yugoslavia are: Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, FYR Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia.

what if ferguson had never joined utd.
what if Gerrard had left liverpool and joined chelsea like he was close to doing
what if moyes hadn't been sacked by utd
messi and maradona around at same time who would do better?
what if lampard had never joined chelsea

This Yugoslavia Experiment is a mission. I can not remove nations so Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, etc. are being called 0 because I can not remove them, I have however made all their details equal to 0 and they aren't FIFA Members. I changed Serbia's name to Yugoslavia because they have all of Yugoslavia's history. Now I have to revamp World Cup Qualifiers and the European Championship Qualifiers in order to have the correct teams in the competitions.
Gibraltar has also been made a FIFA Member to replace those that were removed.
 
Another suggestion, what if the home nations joined togther to make an UK national team could the team bring glory to the isle with the influx from players from all 3 of the nations with Star players like Aaron Ramsey, Paul Dummett,Gareth Bale, Darren Flether joining with the english players.
 
Awesome experiment :), i'm little dissapointed because Messi never won the Champions League
 
This yugoslavia experiment keep crash dumping. I have tried everything to make it work but it just doesn't seem to work. I unfortunately have to put a halt on this experiment. To replace this todays challenge will be a tycoon takeover.

I will post a poll for the next 12 hours and you guys can vote which teams should be taken over.

What if Robert Lewandowski actually went to Blackburn like he was close to doing? And what if Gotze and Lewandowski stayed at Dortmund?
 
I see, well... that's unfortunate.
I've seen similar databases that actually manage to work quite well like a Great Britain's one (with a functional British league) and one that merged Spain and Portugal into Iberia (named after the Iberian peninsula), but for some reason every attempt to unify all balcanic countries into Yugoslavia once again seem to end up unplayable...x_X

Anyway, thanks for trying your hardest on it ^^

.P.S.: Isn't giving a tycoon takeover to Athletic de Bilbao kind of...pointless? With their philosophy of only playing with Basque players, the most you cand do with that much money is... Getting both Javi Martinez and Fernando Llorente back and maybe hiring a couple of players that normally would be out of reach like César Azpilicueta or Nacho Monreal...
(I'm curious to see how will Sassuolo fare with money to spend though).
 
What if... Celtic and Rangers moved to the Football League?
