With fears of COVID-19 running high around the world, many nations have ordered different levels of social isolation, including some requiring mandatory quarantines. As a result, FM has been offered free all week, with an extension to this Wednesday. This is the perfect time for new players to try the game with no strings attached. This has resulted in a huge jump in the daily playerbase.
I can only see this as being a good thing -- several of my friends have picked up the game to try. This is also a good chance for you to send it to a mate and see if you can drag them into the deep, dark hole that is Football Manager.
A couple of my buddies asked if I could show them how to play. Instead, I made a video guide and tailored it towards new players, especially as there's such an influx of new football fwends coming to join us. It's on Youtube if you're interested or would like to show a friend a wide-ranging tutorial that is less than 15 minutes.
What are your thoughts on SI offering FM for free this week?
