After narrowly escaping relegation with Nottingham Forest on the final day of my first Premiership season, the following August I set about colsolidateing in the division. I brought in new faces (Ryan Shawcross and Adam Matthews) to bolster a defence that had struggled aswell as loaning in Kiko Macheda from Man Utd and MArco Verratti from Arsenal. Pierre Ducasse was the final summer signing
Early on we continued to struggle. I knew I needed to turn things around quickly if we were to stay in the league. So I made this tactic
It is very good defensively (Lee Camp had 14 league clean sheets on the turn of the year). It works best with a very good Poacher wh will tuck away the minimal chances you get. I tested it with Forest, where I was in 6th but the Al figured me out and I finished 11th 5 points off Europe. I also tested it with Cameroon, where it worked quite well with Eto'o up front.
For a newly promoted side I beleive this would work quite well to keep you in the division
