Whats peoples thoughts on this tactic ?

Mine are, good solid tactic but depends on the team. With using Fulham its been good beating city 3-0 dominating games, beating lower sided teams, drawing to spurs and Liverpool. So far im fighting 4th in the league in feb. But i personally don't like playing attacking direct football. My thoughts are direct should be more counter, or is this me being stupid ?

Direct passing is both attacking and counter IMO. You get the ball forward as fast as possible so if you want to put pressure on the opponents defence you have to play direct passing to get the ball around the box.

Fair play, but with the likes of higher teams its easy to have direct passing. Just was from the perspective of using a mid table team.

I think higher teams normally tend to play short passing football to dominate the game and because they have better players they can play short passing on the opponents half, mid table teams need more direct football because they normally dont have the players to control the game against equal or stronger teams.
