However...Would you mind playing the second season, too?

I feel it's absolutely vital. ALL the tactics posted here crumble in the second season when you take a small team like Crystal Palace. Awesome in the first season, then the AI takes you more seriously because your rep rises a bit, plays more conservatively against you and then the problems start...

If you manage to finish in top 3 in the 2nd season, even with a couple of signings, then you truly have a winner.

I haven't seen such a tactic on these forums yet and I dearly hope yours could be it!
 
I have given up a significant amount of my time to do one season in pretty much 24 hours. I think asking for a second season no transfers etc is a fair request but not one i'll fulfil anytime soon. Have gigs and new job as well as parental responsibilities te next few days.

I have shown with the Berwick ss's that it works over time. They are over three years.

If folk could post second season updates, I'd be grateful.

Yeah, that's fine.
I might try it because loads of tactics don't really work in the second season when you're in the same league/level.

Climbing up the leagues doesn't count because there you're a huge underdog over and over again.
Thanks for the effort, hopefully this tactic will get a lot of tests.

Do you think it would work without the OI? (FMC doesn't have OI option.)
 
I haven't played FMC but I'd suggest amending Team instructions to "close down much more"
 
Maybe the best tactic i played this FM. With few tactics u can win almost every game, but only this allow u to DESTROY any team...

First two matches i played with this tactic (all fluid) draw 3-3 against hull (i was playing home), against napoli (away) i lost 0-5.. Its VERY shaky at the defense to say the least
 
You need to get morale and team talks nailed on. Likewise with team selection and subs. I sub players on abooking early or those below 6.8

It's a tactic that is amazing offensively but will leak goals. You are not going to have many clean sheets but winning should make up for it.
 
Was close. Had an 11 point lead with 6 games to go.Staggered over the line with under 18 players getting game time
 
Also, this tactic will always leak goals. As long as your forwards are decent and your players are not massively under-dogs you'll do ok. Had a few games where my strikers are no doubt under investigation for match fixing due to the misses.
 
The problem appears when your strikers get into bad form and until they get out of their poor streak, you're pretty much fu*ked.

Like every other tactic however its more injuries that are the issue. Midfielders chip in a fair amount but when you have 8 ccc in agame and don't score that's just ***** luck.

Have you tried it yet?

Yeah, I have. It works in "waves". When the strikers are in form, I'm destroying everyone. As soon as I suffer an unlucky defeat or two, everything collapses for the next few matches. Then they pick up their form again and so on. It goes in circles.
