So I was given 5.4M Transfer budget and my targets are to challenge for promotion play-off spots.
I had to balance the squad and add some defensive steel, Tony Pulis had left me an extremely unbalanced squad with misfiring strikers. The lack of funds meant I had to do extensive search and some compromise.

Tomasz Kuszczak - (Goalkeeper)
My goalkeeper department did not have a reliable shot stopper that I prefer over a sweeper keeper. Hennessey had tendency to come out and it had cost us some costly goals.
Gary MacKenzie - (Defender)
A strong, tall defender. Pearce has become an indispensable player under my reign. He's heart of my defence and a leader. But I needed a solid partner to him and Mariappa isn't good in air playing at CB.
David Wheater - (Defender)
Another strong and tall defender but this time someone with experience in this league and more aggressive CB than Gary, both for different kind of matches and tactics.
Jamie Watt - (Goalkeeper)
A young goalkeeper with potential signed on free transfer also as a backup option but was loaned out.
Adrian Stoian - (Winger)
A fast winger capable of running with ball. Some much needed pace in slow team which is needed to play a quick counter-attacking style. Production from the wings wasn't ideal last season.
Jason Lowe - (Defensive Midfielder)
Young and strong defensive midfield to marshal in front of defensive line, winning the ball and shielding the defence. My other options are quite old and can not play for 90 minutes the way I want from my defensive midfielder.
Ante Rebic - (Winger)
Another solid and quick winger, this time one with very high potential and capable of both scoring and creating. Sadly he's only on loan and I already feel I will miss him next season.
John Swift - (Midfielder)
Youngster I knew from my days at Chelsea, was released by the club this summer. I immediately snapped him up, he might not have the potential for a club challenging at highest level but he can sure contribute now with great potential for future.
Jay Simpson - (Striker)
Simpson was released this summer from a club in Thailand. I offered him a trail and I snapped him up just in next second. Can finish with his feet and has pace, makes me wonder why he was playing in Thiland and wasn't snapped up already. Well, good for me.
Jason Steele - (Goalkeeper)
I was surprised to see that Joson was available for free. I snapped him ASAP resulting in Watt going on loan. Great young English Goalkeeper who can probably play between sticks for decades for this club if nothing goes wrong.

Adrian Mariappa - (Central Defender/Right Back)
Not good in air to play CB for my liking and I had a better performer for right back in Jack Hunt. He also wanted to move to bigger club and I couldn't turn down Hull City's offer.
Mile Jedinak - (Defensive Midfielder)
Quite old to play the role of defensive midfielder in my tactical system. Also wasn't happy after being stripped of captaincy, causing trouble in dressing room.
Wayne Hennessey - (Goalkeeper)
I had gotten two solid shot stopper and I felt Hennessey wasn't needed, Granada offered a good amount for him.
Andrew Taylor - (Left Back)
I need more pacey fullbacks than him and he wouldn't have found a place in starting lineup.
Jerome Ahmed - (Attacking Midfielder)
Some of you may not recognize this player as he wasn't from first team, but came in last year's youth intake. I don't play a system which requires CAM and Norwich came with substantial offer.
