Free Kicks

Anyone else noticing players with a high free kick stat are rarely scoring from them? Playing as Schalke I still have Christian Fuchs who has a high free kick stat, somewhere between 17-19 if I remember, but even though we average roughly 1-2 free kicks in a dangerous area per game he rarely scores, I think last season he only netted about 3 goals from free kicks, must of hit the woodwork at least a 50 times from them though. Are there other attributes that affect free kicks? First touch & Technique maybe? Or am I just getting really unlucky? I eventually let Draxler have the free kicks and this season he's scored at least 5 times from a direct free kick and his free kick stat is 15! He has a much higher first touch & technique stat than fuchs so maybe this is affecting it? Anyone else have a similar experience/advice?

I had a regen who was a deadball specialist... Penalty taking Composure technique first touch were all 20... He used to score for fun(at least 20 per season) but after the update he rarely scores he finished 2 seasons in a row with only3 DFK goals.. changed to a 15 fk attribute player and he scores a few ( 6 ) but not as much as i used to....Hope this new update rectifies that...

When I managed Schalke, Fuchs were a beast on free kicks, he scores on at least half of them!

Really? For me he's playing the crossbar challenge and doing well... Usually hits the woodwork. Maybe it's something to do with a player being in-form? admittedly he's rarely been in-form for me! Could just be bad luck on my part I suppose. Cheers for the responses!
