Free Transfer Anger

I keep trying to search for players available for free transfer, or with expiring contracts, but can never find them! For example, Zhirkov and Asenjo are 2 of the better players I've missed out on.

So what am I doing wrong? What can I do to pounce on those great players going away for free?

You sir, are a life saver Will run off and give that a go now. Don't know why I hadn't done that already, I usually find that with normal transfers the ones that are "unrealistic" never join, so I figured the same would apply here!

Any suggestions for good filters to use to find the best free players then?

search for people with expiring contracts in like 6 months so you know in advance who will be available
you may be able to approach some off them already and they will sign at the end of their contract

Offer megabucks to a player in the unrealistic category and you have a 50/ 50 chance

No it doesn't. It is your *** Mans opinion whether or not they are 'realistic' targets. If you have this on, then he will filter out players that you actually can sign.
