Games

Kilmarnock V East Stirlingshire

View attachment 65339

MOM: Kevin Kerr (7.1, 1 Assist)

A result I expected against Kilmarnock, but the team fought very hard and could have easily got at least a point from the game

East Stirlingshire V Livingston

View attachment 65340

MOM: Michele Fornasier (7.5)

A game we were expected to lose, but we fought right to the end and could have got all 3 points from the game even though Livingston had a controversial goal disallowed the only time the ball hit the back of the net.

Dunfermline V East Stirlingshire

View attachment 65341

MOM: Danny Rose (8.5, 1 Goal, 2 Assists)

Dunfermline thoroughly deserved the win as they were the better team in the game, but it was still a very close game that we were unlucky enough to lose in the last 5 minutes of the game.

East Stirlingshire V Airdrie Utd

View attachment 65342

MOM: Tobias Waisapij (8.4)

Great performance by the team hardly giving Airdrie a chance to get into the game, just wish we had have hit the target more often.

Month Summary: 4/12 points isn't that great but considering I was playing 3 of the teams predicted to finish in the top 4 this season it really isn't bad. Happy to be sitting in 5th place right now and hope I can keep up my unbeaten record at home.

October Update

Games

Ross County V East Stirlingshire

View attachment 65351

MOM: Melvin Kolf (7.1, 1 Goal)

Ross County had the better chances during the game and dominated a lot of the play so I can't say I am too disappointed with a draw and any points away from home is always a plus

East Stirlingshire V Aberdeen

View attachment 65352

MOM: Charlie Mulgrew (8.1, 1 Goal)

First loss at Ochilview Park this season and it was one I expected, but still disappointed at how badly we lost since we did have chances but never converted them

East Stirlingshire V Morton

View attachment 65353

MOM: Dennis Telgenkamp (7.8)

Morton had the better chances during the game but never took them, whilst we took our best chance of the game when David Ball scored an amazing goal just outside the box

Month Summary: another 4 points this month and creating a 6 point difference between us and Airdrie has made this a good month for the club I think though disappointed to lose my 1st home game of the season.

Games

East Stirlingshire V Inverness CT

View attachment 65433

MOM: Bob McHugh (8.3, 1 Goal)

Despite being a close game Inverness took the lead and we never looked like challenging them until the very end of the game when it was unfortunately too late.

Ayr V East Stirlingshire

View attachment 65434

MOM: Zane Powell (9.1, 2 Goals)

A game we never looked like losing, being 3-1 at half time. Definetely an important result in our season that put us even further ahead of Ayr in 10th.

East Stirlingshire V Kilmarnock

View attachment 65435

MOM: Jamie Lindsay (9.0, 2 Assists)

An amazing result for the team. I went into the game hoping that we could try and get a draw and was very happy that my team took all 3 points.

Livingston V East Stirlingshire

View attachment 65436

MOM: Martijn Thomassen (9.0, 1 Goal)

Livingston completely dominate the game and we were very lucky to even get a point out of it. Still happy with the point away from home.

East Stirlingshire V Dunfermline

View attachment 65437

MOM: David Ball (7.8, 1 Goal)

Despite being the better team Dunfermlline never showed the quality to finish any of there chances, a great 3 points won here leading us to 2nd place for the month. Unfortunately there was an injury time injury to Zane Powell

Partick Thistle V East Stirlingshire (Scottish Cup)

View attachment 65439

MOM: John Baird (8.3, 1 Goal)

Terrible way to end the month, going out in the 3rd Round of the Scottish Cup. Despite being the better team the whole game we ended up losing because we never took any of our chances

December Update

Games

Airdrie Utd V East Stirlingshire

View attachment 65499

MOM: Kevin Watt (8.8, 2 Goals)

We were the better team for most of the game yet found ourselves behind twice. A key game to win yet only came away with a point which really wasn't good enough.

Aberdeen V East Stirlingshire

View attachment 65500

MOM: Charlie Mulgrew (7.7)

An inevitable loss dominated by Aberdeen from start to finish. No real challenge from us meant that a loss was pretty much guaranteed

Morton V East Stirlingshire

View attachment 65501

MOM: Kris Paterson (7.5)

Morton had the better chances and we only equalised from a penalty so I can't really say I am disappointed coming away with a draw

East Stirlingshire V Ross County

View attachment 65502

MOM: Patrick Nzuzi (7.7, 1 Assist)

An even game with draw being a deserved result for both teams, only disappointing thing is I would have like us to win our only home game of the month

Games

East Stirlingshire V Ayr

View attachment 65516

MOM: David Miskelly (7.5, 1 Assist)

A must win game for us that we performed well enough in to win but just couldn't beat Ayr Goalie Miskelly.

East Stirlingshire V Livingston

View attachment 65517

MOM: Paul Coutts (7.7, 1 Assist)

A Game was dominated by Livingston. Other than the final 10 minutes it was quite an even game with us leading but 2 goals won it for Livingston.

Dunfermline V East Stirlingshire

View attachment 65515

MOM: Michael Woods (8.3, 1 Goal, 1 Assist)

A game dominated by Dunfermline from start to finish. We never looked like even challenging for the game and keeping the score low was probably the best we could do

Month Summary: Another terrible month for us leaving us 2 months without a win, and even worse 0 points in a month. Hopefully now that Zane Powell is back from injury the teams luck will turn around and will be able to beat relegation rivals Kilmarnock and Airdrie Utd.

Games

East Stirlingshire V Alloa Athletic (League Cup)

View attachment 65739

MOM: Luke Hubbins (9.0, 2 Goals)

After a terrible start to the game and being 1-0 down at half time I feared that we may go out in the 1st Round of the Cup once again but after a great 2nd half where we took advantage of our dominance we got through to the next round

East Stirlingshire V Morton

View attachment 65740

MOM: Samuel Adjei (8.8, 2 Goals)

After fighting for 8th with Morton last season I knew we would have to get results against them this season. Luckily we dominated the game and took our chances whilst stopping them from getting any real chances to score.

East Stirlingshire V Cowdenbeath

View attachment 65741

MOM: Gavin Stokes (8.7, 2 Assists)

A game I knew we could win but the results between us made me a little bit fearful that we would lose. Thankfully we dominated the whole game and never looked like we were going to lose the game getting us into the 3rd round of the cup

Hamilton V East Stirlingshire

View attachment 65742

MOM: John Rankin (7.8, 1 Goal)

A very even match in a game expected to lose. Despite not really deserving to lose Hamilton took one of there chances and we didn't take ours. Still a good game despite the loss

East Stirlingshire V Kilmarnock

View attachment 65743

MOM: Danny Haynes (8.3, 1 Goal)

A great comeback against a dominant Kilmarnock. Despite going down early in the game we hit back almost immediately and held them off for the rest of the game and even scored another goal to take all 3 points

East Stirlingshire V Falkirk (League Cup)

View attachment 65744

MOM: Toni Lehtinen (8.8, 2 Goals)

A game against one of our rivals. Unfortunately despite being an even game Falkirk got a 3 goals early on and we didn't take enough chances to win the game

Dunfermline V East Stirlingshire

View attachment 65745

MOM: Samuel Adjei (8.2, 1 Goal, 1 Assist)

East Stirlingshire V Livingston

After going down early in the game I was afraid that this was going to end up a horrible game for us but after Haynes scored we completely dominated the game and were very unlucky to walk away from the match with only a point

Ross County V East Stirlingshire (Challenge Cup)

View attachment 65773

Back to back games away to Ross County and this game ended exactly the same as the last, with the only difference being we didn't score.

View attachment 65775

MOM: David Ball (9.5, 2 Goals, 1 Assist)

After 2 away losses in a row I was hoping that the team would put in a good performance at Inverness. I certainly didn't expect us to completely destroy them and am extremely happy with the teams performance in the game.

Raith V East Stirlingshire

View attachment 65776

Morton V East Stirlingshire

East Stirlingshire V Inverness CT

View attachment 65925

A 1st half penalty made me confident that we could go on and win the game but I was certainly not expecting the 2nd half rout that was coming. We took almost every chance we had and never looked like letting Inverness get a chance to get back into the game.

East Stirlingshire V Morton

View attachment 65926

MOM: David Ball (7.4, 1 Goal)

Hamilton V East Stirlingshire

View attachment 65927

MOM: Melvin Kolf (9.3, 1 Goal, 2 Assists)

For the 2nd game in a row our opposition got a player sent off in the first 10 minutes and the team looked like they were trying to make up for squandering there chances in the last game, going in 3-0 at half time. We completed the rout in the 2nd half with another 2 goals.

East Stirlingshire V Kilmarnock

View attachment 65928

Another dominant game against Ayr gave us a deserved 3 points. Despite the positives Luke Hubbins has been injured for 2-3 months

MOM: Ridny Cairo (8.0, 1 Goal)

A classy performance by the team made use of the slight edge in possession we had. Killmarnock had there chances but luckily for me they never took there chances.

Raith V East Stirlingshire (League Cup)

MOM: Martin Wood (7.8, 1 Goal)

A deserved win for Raith who completely dominated the game. Despite taking the lead in the first 20 mins we couldn't hold it and went out of the League Cup.

MOM: Danny Haynes (7.4, 1 Goal)

A much better performance against Raith in this game with a goal from Danny Haynes winning it for us.

Month Summary: A great month in the league, winning all 4 games despite having 2 of my 3 best strikers out injured. A pretty good month in the Cups as well though we unfortunately went out of the League Cup against Raith but we did make our objective in it. A Good performance in the Challenge Cup so far has left us in with a chance of winning it but to do so we have to beat rivals Falkirk in the next round.

Great start to your season mate! Hope it continues, would love to see the Shire in the SPL
