I love Dortmund but i just can't see them doing it this season. I think the extra games in the C/L will some how have a bad effect on them...But then again, Klopp is an awesome manager....

Would be quite embarrasing if Bayern do not win the league. They already had the strongest team and squad by far last season and now they have strengthend it even more while other top teams like HSV and Dortmund have weakend.

Also Rooben will be fit for the start of the season whom they missed so badly last season. Can't see past them tbh.

I have had it with german clubs selling star players for cheap to other leagues. Ozil and khedira for ~10+m each? Sahin for 12m? And now arturo vidal(leverkusen's star player) is going to juventus for only ~15m. Seems like the only people that are able to hold on to their own players are bayern. And most star players left their clubs because they cant go to bayern(most clubs dont want people to keep thinking bayern can buy anyone in the league),so they just sell to other leagues for cheaper than they would get from bayern.

Im a german league fan and sad that so many good players are leaving to other leagues.

Yes, I find it appalling that Arturo Vidal moves for 10.5 million euros when Stewart Downing moves for 22.8 million euros.

I love Dortmund but without Sahin, I can't see them competing with Bayern for the whole season.

Khedira was an undisclosed fee. Özil and Sahin had release clauses and Vidal only had 1 year left on his contract.

I'm not arguing on the main point of your post btw.

Khedira's fee was 14 million euros.

Oh okay then...
But I still don't know what would Schalke get with additional strikers?
I mean, here are the current strikers: Huntelaar, Raul, Farfan (primarily a right winger), Edu, Gavranović, Wiegel... and now Marica...

Oh well...

Here are the matchday 1 fixtures:

Borussia Dortmund - Hamburger SV
SV Werder Bremen - 1. FC Kaiserslautern
Hannover 96 - 1899 Hoffenheim
1. FSV Mainz 05 - Bayer 04 Leverkusen
VfB Stuttgart - FC Schalke 04
1. FC Köln - VfL Wolfsburg
FC Augsburg - SC Freiburg
Hertha BSC - 1. FC Nürnberg
FC Bayern München - Borussia Mönchengladbach

About that Dortmund-thing. Bayern had NOT the best team last season. Dortmund played by far the best football, although they are not as effective in front of the goal. Bayern Munich lost against Dortmund 1:3 WITH Robben and Ribery, so i think they shouldn't be sure to win the League.

Dortmund MAY be weaker without Sahin, but we got Kagawa (he only played one half of the season), Kehl, Gündogan, Perisic and Löwe for new. All of them showed GREAT (especially Kagawa and Kehl) actions in the tests.

Bayern defensive is even with Rafinha and Boateng very bad. Lahm isn't as good as he used to be before, and Schweinsteiger really sucks since his phenomal games in the world cup last year. One person that could really grew in this season is Toni Kroos. I would call him the biggest Talent in Germany (if you don't count Götze in ;) ). He did not fit into Van gaals system, but before he was loaned out to Leverkusen and Heynckes and there he played phenomenal. He showed great actions in the last test games and i think he could really be a new star this season.

About the thing with their extra games. Last season they made the most points when they had their Europe League-Games. and at that time Götze wasn't as good as he became the last few months. That doesn't mean that i think they survive group stage, but i don't think their games in the Bundesliga will suffer from the extra games.
