Fulham had 65% of possesion, just shows possesion dosen't always win you games.

Aaron Hughes couldn't deal with Carlton Cole today, him and Piquionne are just massive athletic units. Mark Hughes continues to ruin the fortress that is Craven Cottage with another dire display. In the first half, we looked comfortable with Danny controlling the middle of the park, it is just a shame he doesn't have another CM next to him instead of Etuhu who performed valiantly as a passenger. Andy Johnson once again proved how toothless he was up front spurning two great chances in either half. The team lacked energy as a whole and once again proved that we're only capable of threatening from set pieces.

When you bring on Eddie Johnson, you know your ****** although he did perform rather better than some of the men that claim to be professional footballers today. Why an earth Hughes didn't bring on Kamara is a mystery because although he is a bit touch and go, he still offers some form of class.

In fairness to Hughes though, he's been left with slow and old squad without much time to sort out transfers. I hope to god that Al Fayed gives him investment in January to buy a new centre midfielder (who can run, pass forward and tackle) and a striker, preferably a lump like Santa Cruz.

As for Fulham, to relegation a beyond.

Would be a real shame to see Fulham go down, expecting them to perform far better when they actually have a strike force with Zamora and Dembele back, Johnson is dire leading the line. Santa Cruz would be a fine signing, and Hughes probably has the pull to get him there if City are willing.
