game crashes after a minute or two!!

for some strange reason every time i go to play football manager 2013 it crashes and turns my laptop off after maybe a minute or two, it must be something to do with the game or maybe steam as this doesnt happen when im on my laptop and not playing fm13.

Any suggestions as what this could be???
