Hello. I was able to download and install new FM 26 but every time i try to start career after picking team i get this:

Any help?

It's fine now, for some reason windows defender was causing issues as Documents folder was protected so i had to add FM26 in trusted apps.

How did you get it to stop doing it mine keeps doing it?

I delete cache preferences folder and then works but randomly then does what you have said your did

Go to Windows Security -> Virus and threat protection -> Ransomware protection (Manage ransomware protection) -> Allow an app through Controlled folder access and here find you fm26.exe (C :\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Football Manager 26 for PC). If that doesn't work maybe try disabling Controlled folder access completely (at least while you play the game).
