Game is running slow

I would agree MiiCK. My fault, I have a habit of being in the "Oh just buy a **** new one" before working out whether the old one can work properly oO)

Incidentally, I just checked out another site for FM and found a useful post which detailed minimum specs:

PC System Requirements
OS - Windows Vista or XP
Processor Speed - Vista - 2.0GHz, XP - 1.4GHz Memory - Vista - 1GB, XP - 512MB Videocard - 128MB Nvidia FX 5900 Ultra, ATI Radeon 9800, Intel 82915G/82910GL or greater.

I would just like to add that games will run below that but may struggle

My Video Card on my laptop can't handle FM but on my Mums it does is there anyone I can upgrade my video via the internet without buying a new one?

Not that I am aware of. Laptops usually have an integrated video card which are well, quite frankly, pants for running games at anything approaching a decent level. I would consider buying a seperate Graphics card for your laptop if it was me

ok thanks alot everybody, just one more thing i have a spair graphics card, its a sapphire x1650 pro 512mb drr2, would that be better than the one i have at the moment

its orite lads, I HAVE DONE IT, IT WORKS NOW thank god for that, just downloaded something to do with the graphics card, of that website you sold me to go on "nursemorph" and i'd just like to say THANKYOU VERY MUCH, ive spent ages trying to do this, late nights and that.

Well done on getting it fixed & well done on nursemorph for supplying info on how to fix!!!! :D

You female or male nurse?

For anyone that is wondering whether their PC is powerful enough to run FM2009, may I direct your attention to the following site:

http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtest

Select Football Manager 2009 from the drop down box and then click "Can I Run It". It will take a little whil to do its thing but you will get a report on whether your PC is good enough and if it is not, it will tell you where the PC is lacking. Hope this helps :D

then after that click on the graphics cards it recommends, then consider buying one of them
