Game not recognizing .dbc file

Hey guys,
I'm trying to play a custom database I downloaded (the .dbc file I put in both the editor data and db files),but when I go to change the database in the new game screen, all I get is Default. When I tick the change box it brings up an option to use the .xml file for kits used with the database, but not the database itself.
Any help?

I need help with this too, I've downloaded an update which is a .DBC file but my editor and FM game will only find .XML files.

have you placed it in editor db file in fm10 folder in Mydocs if so upload to request thread link below or give me link to Db on thread below.
