Next Update - League Cup - Round 1

---------- Post added at 05:47 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:28 PM ----------

All 10 William Hill Entry League (WEL) Teams took part in the League Cup Round 1 (basically the qualifying). The Tournament is Premier League down to WEL.

As many teams were unprepared (not enough time to sign top quality team), there was little success, with only 3 WEL teams progressing, with 1 victory against higher league opponents. (Wiggy's Wonders bt Telford 2-2 (pens), The Wolfpack bt Liverpool Wheelers 1-1 (pens), The Academy bt Sheff Wed 1-1 (pens))

Ahaha! We got ALAN as a manager!

Need to check the half-time oranges... They may have been spiked...

Player to watch? I think Muhammed Agin. Lol at "Paul Potts" in my team weighing in at over 14 stone.

oh come on!!! Trevor Francis took Birmingham to the League Cup final in the year Liverpool won the treble.....(all based on memory so dont quote me on that

What i want to know is who the fudge is Andy Ritche????

Not happy to get knocked out on pens but the mighty Liverpool Harriers U18 Wheelchair Reserve squad can bounce back for the league!!!

Look at the rest of the team... The Wolfpack is complete :D

Loving some of my team though!!

Joe Swanson, Teddy Pendergrass, Franklin D Roosevelt all bring the American wheelchair bound players to the fore

Just out of interest, what is Steven Hawkins' communication stat?

I didn't set one, and it's not up on the screen as he's not a keeper, he's really good though!

Focus on: Armory FC

Armory find themselves in 8th place and dumped out of both the FA cup and the League Cup. They had a decent start, with 4 points in their first 2 games, but haven't won since their second game. Hopefully, Gary Megson (manager) and Ian Dowie (***. manager) can turn their fortunes around. They are in the process of a takeover as well, which may mean they have more transfer money to sort things out.

Focus on: Muhammad Agin
View attachment 178490
Muhammad Agin hasn't had the greatest start to the season, with no goals or assists. He has played 3 matches for Germany U19. He has played CM in all 9 matches. He has an average rating of 6.63 in Club games and 6.87 in his 3 international matches. It is a solid start to his career, but will hope to kick on from here to help his club rise up table.

7th not too bad a start but not the best either..

Liverpool Wheelers with a great start, looking good for them early on.

Get in the The Wheelers!!!!! Top of the league, undefeated so far, and into the next round of the FA Cup. No time for complacency...lets keep it going!!

Top of the Table Clash - Liverpool Wheelers v The Wolfpack

A draw is definately on the cards before the game, Guidetti looks key.

The Wolfpack dominated the start of the game, but missed some early chances. On their first break, The Wheelers got lucky, Baxter pounced on a rebound. Then, from the restart, Alexis Velasquez-Moralez was free at the back post, and scored a fairly easy header. Disaster struck for The Wolpack when Phil Wenneck made a rash tackle, being sent off after 43 minutes. The Wolfpack continued to dominate even with 10 men. They didn't manage to take their chances and the game ended 1-1

Alexis Velasquez-Moralez was a constant threat to The Wheelers defence.

All in all, a good game, but both sides, especially The Wolfpack need to take more chances.
