Genoa problems - help!

Hello guys.. im currently playing with Genoa. I have problems with my defence and scoring goals at the same time. My defence is : Mesto, pata (the greek), Dainelli, Crisito.
Midfield : Zapater, Gago, Wingers : Rakitic and Karja Strikers : Pellisier and Acquafresca

My opponents seem to get to many chances against me. And I think my team is at least a top 7 team.

Can you help me setup a tactic which works. currently playing 4-4-2

I suggest a 3-4-3, standard genoa tactic, rigid, more direct, press more, quick tempo

He is at Rubin... when I play a 3-5-2.. What's the best thing to do? play narrow or wide? through the middle or flanks?
