Ladyboys & Ladygirls,
This isn't me moaning, trust me, more like pleading on hands & knee's for help with tactics in this game.
I recently bit the bullet & downloaded two tactics from the few currently in 'Download an FM2014 Tactic' page, because I personally have struggled with creating one of my own. I'll get to those a bit later.
First thing's first, I have no idea how to set up this current Arsenal team. I've tried possession football with the relevant player & team instructions (ie, Retain Possession, Shorter Passing, Work ball into Box etc) with a 4-1-2-2-1 AMR/L formation. The player roles I have are;
....but I'm constantly beaten on possession and generally battered in each game. I'm talking 25 shots against my 5-10 and as you may predict I haven't survived past January with this & every iteration of this sort of tactic I can think of that makes sense.
What I mean by that, is that I've tried combinations related (but not directly copying) to 'the Arsenal way' and it doesn't work, which is making me question. I've never had this problem with sliders, because to be honest I didn't really use them & YES, I have tried no team/player instructions & just 'Attacking' & 'Fluid' team instructions and that worked alright-ish on a Chelsea save I tried, I actually lasted the season but when I had built a team (aka getting rid of Terry, Cole & Lampard because of their wages & replacing them with younger players, who do the same thing as those players) that I wanted, it just fell apart.
Now we move onto the two tactics I downloaded earlier & started a new Arsenal save with. They are

I'm not saying they're terrible tactics, not in the slightest. But my problem is that I've gone through my entire Arsenal pre-season and the following as happened.
(1) - The team even though having 'Tactics' & 'Very High' set on Training, along with it being on the MatchDay Prep, aren't even halfway through learning the tactics yet...
(2) - My preseason records stands at this;
Raith vs Arsenal = 1-1
Montpeiller HSC vs Arsenal = 4-1 (Loss)
Galatasary vs Arsenal = 1-1
Gaziantepspor vs Arsenal = 0-0
Braga vs Arsenal = 1-0 (Loss)
Mallorca = 0-0
I'm at my wit's end now, I can't go through another ****** file where I'm constantly battling against the tactics & how they don't work. I've tried changing tactics game-by-game to suit my opponent with very mixed success.
I would upload my game file for you all to play with yourselves, but the uploader said it was too large
