German National team team turned into virtual players

This is on my FM12 file but uploaded here because I'm more confident of getting a quicker response.
I am in my 6th season and manager of England as well as a few others, and the German National team used to have the real players, now they have randomly become the virtual 'greyed out' players for some reason. Has this happened to anyone else. I have changed laptop and transferred the file by memory stick, but surely this wouldnt have messed the game up, would it? Nothing is more annoying on Football Manager for me when I have to play against a virtual German team, rather than their real players, as they're the best on it too.

Has this happened to anybody else?

If you switched laptops, you'll have to delete the files again. It's not embedded in the save game file.

I have deleted the files, but they're still the greyed out players
