Hey all, new here, 1st post and all.

Gerrard wins this hands down for me, I would even say it's close as to whether or not Lampard is as good as Joe Cole at the moment.

I originally said Lampard, but now I think Gerrard is the better player and has been recently. He just stands out more at Liverpool than Lamps does at Chelski.

Personally I think that because these 2 midfielders are english the media make them out to be more than what they really are. I would rather have Xabi Alonso or Makelele in my midfield.

Alonso is a great passer of the ball, best in the premiership in my opinion, but he doesn't have the same attacking threat as Gerrard. But then again Alonso brings alot more defensive options to the team.
