Getting German Regionalliga Teams Promoted?

Hi,


I'm in my 4th season as HSV (Hamburg) manager, but Hamburg II just seem redundant, no staff, no fixtures and friendlies have to be manually arranged - although I have recently hired a DoF and changed his responsibility to hire B team staff... hopefully...

Without using the editor, has anyone had success getting their B team promoted into actual football reality? I know on previous FMs with say Valencia, I shoved a load of loan and Over 19 but not great players in the Mestalla team and it seemed to help them get promoted...


Any and all advice would be welcome, cheers!

For those with any interest, I've made all my U19s available for HSV II and managed to bring in some cheap/free players to bolster the ranks.

Whilst I've been arranging friendlies and there's no real games to speak of, the players are getting stats under "League".

I can only assume from this that there is slightly more than a random factor for Regionalliga promotion. There's no guarantees, but hopefully having strong players available for HSV II will give them a much better chance to be playing real football next season.

You need to make the league they are in playable

Probably a case of filling the B team with players you don't want or need, but will add something to them and hope they win the league (which you cant view).

i had a save where a local team to me, that plays in the juniors (Scottish Highland League) win promotion and replaced Edinburgh City in the second season. i couldn't view the league that they won.

Reputation used to decide which teams got promoted from leagues under your playable ones, that's why B-teams so rarely get promoted. Pretty sure it still works in the same way, havent heard of any changes.
