Sometimes clubs wont offer you a job if you are still employed as they wll have to pay compensation

Sorry if there's a thread on this, I couldn't see one.

I was just wondering this recently. Has anyone managing a smaller team, been randomly offered a contract by another team (like without applying for the job)?

I'm still in the A-League, and love it there...it's a constant challenge, requiring regular recycling of players...and I've been world class for several seasons now...yet I've never had any interest from big clubs (I haven't applied anywhere).

I just want to know, if it's even possible to be offered jobs without you instigating the talks...mainly out of interest sake. If you can't be offered a contract without noting your interest, it would be pretty dissapointing...but I expect someone has been offered a contract out of the blue??

And, if someone can answer me, perhaps someone can also answer whether it's the same for international management...

Yeah it happens I was Belgium manager and got offered Arsenal job obv took it few seasons later Barcelona came knocking cuz guardiola took spain job...
its happens...

it is possible, i was managing club america(mexico) and had great successes also wining the club world championship against barca, and then i got t=offered the ac milan job, and also had great success their too, but that was fm2010, playing llm on fm11, no job offers yet, despite back to back promotions with vauxhall motors

I declared instrest in the Man City job once, they sacked Mancini and offered me the job. I rejected and Mancini is still jobless, MUAHAHAH

I left Spurs for Liverpool, but it came just after I'd given Bale a new contract at Spurs, so was unable to bring him with me. I won't make that mistake again!

Birmingham in 2011/12 got offered Arsenal, Inter and Liverpool + was linked with City.

i was offered the fulham job when i was at cobblers

you could always just leave the club as your'e more likely to get a job as they wion't have to pay a fee and I would reckon the A-League would get you into the higher Npower League 1 or a mid-table Championship team :S Considering you won the CL in Asia.

You may get offered a job then as you can add more trophies to your name which could help?
