This small thread is dedicated to anyone who want's advice on getting their Leeds campaign started.
Game Version: 1.0.3 patch
Tactic used: 4-5-1 (similar to JP Woodys famous barca tactic)
Database size : large
You start with about 1 million euro in transfer budget, but in reality you don't need it, cause you have the best (or 2. best) squad in the leauge.
But where is the fun in that?
Here is a list of my sales and purchases. If you can complete this list, then winning CC league 1 will be easy.
Sell/Cancel loan:
Michael Doyle (loan) - a good central midfielder with strong mental and defensive attributes. Downside: expensive wage.
McSheffrey (loan) - a good offensive midfielder with strong technical attributes. Downside: expensive wage.
Releasing these two might seem strange to some . They are after all above the average CCL 1 player. True, but their release will free a good portion of transferbudget for you, and if used probably, you could get quality signings (signings that will be able to follow directly in case of promotion).
Andy Robinson (75k) - Not good enough for me.
Marques (75k) - Not good enough for me.
Casper Ankergren (100k) - Decent but in excess when you get a better keeper .
Lubio Michalik (140k) - Not good enough for me.
Tresor Kandol (100k) - Not good enough for me.
Buy/sign:
Nicolae Mitea OML (Free) - I use him as a back up to Snodgrass, fast winger.
Michael Ball DL(Free) - 1. choice on DL - an exceptionally good buy (don´t miss this one)
Ulrich Vincentz DR(30k) - 1. choice on DR - Cheap, good, all round back.
Rohan Rickets OMR(Free) - Not really my favourite player - serves as back up to gradel and as a rotation player when needed.
Chris Hogg DC(300k) - Back up, but on the same level as my 1. choices in DC.
Espen Jonson GK(Free) - Great goalie for CCL 1, and free (don't miss)
Richard Hughes DM (700k) - On sale - a big part of your budget will go on this one. But he is worth it. Easily the best player in the league if you get him.
Superb in CCL 1 and CCL.
Bryan Hughes MC (free) - Quality back up CM.
I generally don't like giving tactical advise. My best advice is to experiment yourselves and not just download a tactic - you will become a much better player (eventually).
That being said, I can tell u that an offensive approach during you 1. season is the best solution as you have one of the best squads in the league.
