Getting the best out of my strikers

I'm Man Utd coming up to the end of the 1st season and need to claw Chelsea back. I use the Platinum Man Utd tactic with 2 up top and an attacking midfielder in behind. I managed to get Lewandowski in January so I play with Van Persie (CF) alongside Lewandowski (DLF) and Rooney in behind as (AP). Lewandowski seems to be under-performing with only a handful of goals so far. Can anyone recommend any player instructions that would improve them or a different player role maybe?

hey mate, just thought id throw some of my views out there.

Always had man utd save on fm's
fm14 save i got lews and he never performed as deep lying forward.
i used him as CF or Poacher and sometimes even AF he banged goals in for fun as poacher for me

I'd look at the team rather than the individuals, sounds like you have too many forwards IMO, it doesn't guarantee success
