Getting the most out of Arda Turan

I have signed arda turan many times on various liverpool saves and haven't been able to get him to perform at anywhere near the level i know he can play. I've used him in an AMC positon as an attacking midfielder and an advanced playmaker and he averages 6.2 with no assists and no goals in 36 matches. I've given him two years on an old save and sold him for a loss of £12m
How does everyone else use him? and is he known to take a while to settle?

AML Inside forward. Why use him AMC when youve got Gerrard, Meireles, Cole, Maxi, Shelvey, Pacheco?

Inside Forward, Attack on either side of the wing.

He is shown to be a naturally suited to the position AMC and i prefer to use Elia as a aml. Gerrard, cole and maxi are around 32 in my game. Meireles is in my midfield in my 451 formation so i have hazard and gerrard and i want to be able to get turan to perfrom with in my current save.
