GK Rating

Any idea why my GK rating is always far lower than the rest of my team? It seems to happen a lot.
For example, I'm playing Spurs with Hugo Lloris who has a CA over 170, seems to be playing pretty well and making plenty of saves, but almost never gets a 7 or higher rating, even on a clean sheet.

Last year his stats were: 47 apps, 54 conceeded, 16 clean sheets, 1.15 con/90, average rating 6.74!
We finished 4th in the league, with the 6th best goals against record.

Any idea if I'm doing something wrong, or is it just a quirk where the keeper doesn't get decent credit?

If you're team is well on top, he will have an average rating (6-7) since he hasn't much to do. Keepers don't have great matches when you score lots; they have great games when they stop the opposition from winning a game you clearly should have lost.

If you take out the 16 clean sheets, he conceded 54 goals in 31 outings: roughly 1.7 goals in those games. If he conceded more then that probably meant he had a poor rating for those matches which will drag down his overall average rating.

Thanks for your thoughts. I guess I won't worry about it.

He hadn't got above a 6.8 for 20 games, and then after posting this he gets an 8.2 next match. He must read these forums!

I posted something similar, Victor Valdes playing for me won premier league keeper of the season with an average rating of 6.8. My current season my two main keepers have a rating of around the 6.7 mark. Looking round at other teams keepers it is very similar all round. This in turn seems to lower the value of my keepers.
