Glitch After Player's Loan Finishes

In my current save, I had a striker that was doing awesome for me on loan. I offered to take him on loan for the remainder of the season but he rejected. Then his loan finishes and I get this message:

I get excited because I could really use him. So, I approach to sign him and this is what he says:

Annoying.

Try and ask for a loan again. For me, if I ask 2/3 times they finally come back.

What's the relationship between you and him like?

There isn't one really, but thanks man, you just reminded me that I can try to build one by talking to the press about him. Hopefully it works, because he has my team as his only favored club.
