I don't only appreciate goals in the World Cup, I enjoy good football - and sometimes that means good defending.

I am very suprised with lack of goals on World Cup. Maybe teams don't want to lose first matches but this is a bit boring. Every match ends with 1-0 or 1-1... Your thoughts?

Well its currently 4-0 Germany so it ends your worries?

well we have many weaker teams like new zealand, north korea, slovakia, algeria... every stadium is empty on every side... this world cup in africa is mistake

it's because people in the "first world" have a misconception about Africa. their idea of Africa is what they see in the Hollywood movies. they think they'll be killed by a spear & their corpse fed to the lions once they disembark the plane.. XD

it's good to see newer teams in the WC although they may be blamed for the lack of goals. I think the goal ratio will increase when teams are forced to go for the win towards the end of the group stages (d'oh!)

Guys be patient Germany just destroyed Australia and yes the Nigerean goalkeeper saved Nigeria from Messi otherwise it would have been more goals please do not start making assumptions before the tournament has not even properly begun

I have watched every game so far, and the atmosphere at each one has been amazing. I don't know what games you were watching where the stadiums were empty. The goals will come later on in the group stage. Most teams will settle for a draw in their opening game.

guys i am in South Africa and the atmosphere is amazing and stadiums are closs to sell-outs

im not sure how people can blame the world cup being in africa on the lack of goals. the "weaker" qualified they eaernt the right to be there
