Cheers for the list mate, I find the best bit of the game is finding quality free players.

Nearly all of them won't join the clubs that I'll start of with but it's worth a try anyway!

An extensive list of decent free players, from golden oldies to promising youths.

Be advised, this is strictly a work in progress. This is based entirely off the demo, and on top of that off the "English" quickload. As a result, only players found in the "English" quickload are found in here.

That said, I'm pretty happy with this as it stands. Some real gems in there, especially in the goalkeeper section. I've tried to cover possible targets from the Prem to about League Two, so there should be a decent spread. I will be updating as and when I can be bothered/get the full game.

Any suggestions to the list are so welcome you wouldn't even believe.

Just realised from your quote I'm a complete **** and wrote French instead of Italian league in the OP. I've done the Italian one, and I've just completed the French.


Version 1.4 adds the French league to the shortlist.

Go into the "shortlists" menu ingame, and click "Import shortlist". Click on the Free Transfers shortlist and bingo.

Don't have the game open at the moment unfortunately, but used this shortlist to get 2 very good players to Sheffield Wednesday on frees (will update with names when I next play), seems to be a very good list thanks. One was a spanish winger, Alex something and one was a french midfilder, gorou or horou or similiar. The winger in particular is in great form already.

Update: Names are Alex Perez, who was adamant about 7k a week so high end L1/ Championship side player, fantastic. MoM fiend so far for me

and Heron Gouldon, again around the 5/6k a week mark so Championship/ high end L1 I would image. L1 sides should have no problem with interest, key player at my Sheff Wed convninced him to join me over Blackburn and St. Etienne but his wages can be pricey for lower leagues. I'm also wary of his aggression:
