ESM Golden Shoe table

Toni sets record
ACF Fiorentina's Luca Toni extended his lead by another point and set a new club record when he scored his 27th goal of the season in a 1-1 draw against Juventus. He has now surpassed the mark set by Gabriel Batistuta and Kurt Hamrin, who both managed 26. In a quiet weekend for Europe's leading forwards, only four other players in the top 20 scored: Kris Boyd, David Suazo, Shota Arveladze and Dimitar Berbatov.

lies!

cos its European :D

Nice to see Shota carried on his early season form! :D

Wow,good thread, never knew how it worked exactly...was it the thing that Forlan won last year?

If Ruud carries on scorin, and everyone else stops, maybe he will win it :D

And doesnt 'Darren Bent' look a bit out of place amongst all those names :p

Didnt he tie with Etto

Larssons won it, but SPL goals are worth half a goal I think

Think if Massimo Maccarone played in the SPL he would be on this list tbh.

By the looks of the table the SPL, one goal is worth 1.5 and one goal in the big leagues is worth 2. seems fair tbh

where is the yak !!! : O

iassume this is the one that forlan has won last year

what do you mean by that?

The award Forland won or the table of results in which Forlan was top?

Also, Yak only has 13 goals :

Code:
Thierry Henry	Arsenal	21
Ruud van Nistelrooy	Man Utd	21
Darren Bent	Charlton	16
Marlon Harewood	West Ham	14
Robbie Keane	Tottenham	14
Frank Lampard	Chelsea	14
Wayne Rooney	Man Utd	14
Craig Bellamy	Blackburn	13
Aiyegbeni Yakubu	Middlesbrough	13
Didier Drogba	Chelsea	11
Ahmed Mido	Tottenham	11
James Beattie	Everton	10
Hernan Crespo	Chelsea	10
Collins John	Fulham	10
Henri Camara	Wigan	9

Only the leading five countries (Spain, Italy, Germany, France and England) in the UEFA coefficient rankings have two as their multiplier. This is to emphasise the difference in international performance level between clubs from those countries and those from the other countries.

So because Scotland have a rubbish ranking, their multiplier 1.5, and as Estonia doesnt really count, they dont get a multiplier :p

That must suck for their players, Just to catch up with a rest of europe, they have to score 60 goals in the season. Whoa! That must be a difficult task no matter what league you're in. Doesn't really sound fair. I do understand the major leagues being more difficult, but maybe, just maybe their is a small matter of MONEY to be discussed as to what leagues get promoted in to the spotlight.

I dont know what you're suggesting, but you're wrong. It is,as it says UEFA coefficient rankings, which is determined on national team performances, and club performances in continental competitions.

only the top divisions count as well, thats why Kenny Duchear didnt win it

Yea otherwise he would pwn it the last 2 seasons :D

I didn't really suggest anything and even if i did, i take it back. I didn't give my post much thought before i posted it. I still feel it must suck for Estonians or whatever other countries players that have to double their scoring to feature in the list. Whether or not their country is ranked low or whether there is no clubs in their country ranking higher in Europe. (maybe i am a little upset that smaller leagues don't get a look in as much.)
