I have played fm since it first began way back when it was championship manager, i loved fm06 although it was basic and when fm08 came out i was excited but upon buying the game very dissapointed, fm09 was even worse, i am impressed with fm10 it seems they have listened to the fans and implemented key features that make it a joy to play althought i do have some minor things that i have noticed.
I find there is a fine line between providing a lot of information, multiple decisions at your fingertips and overcomplicating things, tactics wise great but at the same time i used to love playing a game sitting back and not having to constantly change or tweak minor things to win the game,at the same time i like the fact that you have all this at your fingertips but i believe that the game should include the old classic system, i read in forums all the time people saying the same thing and i agree with a lot, fm 10 has been by far the best for a while and the whole game works well if you have a good pc, my problem is the in game experience on matchday,i resort to 2d but feel i am missing out because 3d is great at times but a pain at others, i find you can't just play the game easily its very in depth which is good but has its disadvantages too, therefore its a catch 22,i reckon there should be an option to have indepth matchday experiences with all the fine options to tweak eg:sideline shouts, opposition instructions, and staff feedback but also a classic matchday with only the key things you need(tactics, teamtalk, basic adjustments).
I always play as man utd and never any other team,my tactics are good, ones i develop myself and enjoy and i do win a lot and win the league so therefore i am not saying this because i lose, i just don't get that same feeling i used to.
great game though and i do still love playing it but give your fans an option and integrate old and new in a better way.
