Good defensive tactic ?

Hi i need a good strong defensive tactic to use against better teams with better players, so that my team don't get run over and maybe get some valuable points ?!
If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated thanks.
What formation do you use in your standard setup ?

check out the defensive tactic but in all honesty they are all great and work very well. Ask in there for any advice you require fella.

Try this out as a help on the way of creating one on your own
, of course you could use mine but I got the feeling that you wanted to use your own tactic
Have a look at the version 7.Defensive in the set " 442 NO TM" in the thread provided to you in an earlier post in this thread. Try it against a strong/normal opponent when playing away and use the OI against the "4-2-4 "that is in the Thread. Also use man marking on the midfielders and look at the match in full mode.
Do the same with 6.Counter..
One is a slow possession based and one is a quick counterattack based.
All depending on what you wan to do. Play safe or be more risky.
