Only joking there is no such thing!!!

I have been playing this game since the release and it is so frustrating, I have always been able to create good tactics and get my team playing nicely however on FM14 this only lasts 3-6 months and MY tactic turns to **** and I cannot win a game!!!!

I even download other peoples tactics and build a team around the tactic and again 3-6 months it stops working, not only can I not win a game the style of play completely changes and is nothing like it was at first.

my most recent creation was a 4-2-3-1 short passing, low tempo. It was awesome for the first 4 months, 60-70% possesion 20 shots 5-10 CCC's per game!!! The way my team was playing was amazing the best i have seen so far on FM14. and needless to say now its ****!!

Cannot keep the ball, barley getting a shot on goal and the back four is awful. Havent won a game since FEB(season is over) and scored 2 goals in 10 games!! how can it be such a drastic change?

I havent changed a thing, i signed one player in Jan who is a back up ST!!!

So basically this is the worst FM i have ever played its not fun anymore just frustrating, expecting vast improvement for FM15 otherwise i feel my love affair with FM is coming to an END!!

Has anyone else had the same problem? and how have you resolved it?

Fixed that for you.

Can't really give any help with the lack of actual information that you've given.

I thought it was just a rant.

Well what set up do you use... do you have more than 1 tactic? do you change tactics against the top 4? do you try to counteract the oppositions tactics? etc....

Change something. Nobody is working the same **** all over again. If something is not working, adopt. Your opponents probably started to play more direct and more deep, limiting You space, and waiting for mistakes that your team is making. And then using space that you leave.

If tactic does not work, if you can not keep possesion, then change to mixed passing and speed up game. If your having problem with lot of deep ball over defence, put deep line setting to your defence, or at least, change one CB to cover duty. There is milion thing you could do depending on situation.

You could also benefit for having more then one tactic and one style of play if you mix it up a bit from game to game-....

Yeah. I gotta bend the knee to this game. It really does make you change over time.

I was just like you, I had a tactic set up for a while and I thought I would just make small changes against different sides. Because I'm Celtic, those real changes came during the Champions League, as the league is over before it begins. That was dodgy thinking, as you can tell. I set up a basic 4 - 2 - 3 - 1 and that was what I was going to use after I was knocked out of the CL qualifiers by a terrific Arsenal, I had all season to just keep clicking next and wait on the season ending.

Big mistake. Winning several games in a row turned into several loses and I was baffled. **** easy teams like St. Mirren and Partick Thistle, hammering me 3/4 - 0. I had no other excuse but complacency. I soon realised that the game had adapted to my tactics and started rendering me predictable.

So every few months now I make a brand new tactic and I'm constantly expanding not only my teams wins, by my own tactical knowledge in real life!

I'm a dominant team now haven't changed my tactic in two seasons. I'm unbeaten so far this season in the league (27 games in) and got to the final of the C1C, but I lost and that's been my only loss so far. I made it and it suits the players I have, so I'm sticking to it.

You lucky *******!!! i had a save where i won everything and i had to change my tactic every year at least!!

I have set up three different tactics and im going to try rotating them every few months and see what happens, the only trouble is it means that some players wont get a game for a few months.

Played 5 pre-season games with my 4-2-3-1 short passing, low tempo. And been absolutely hammering everyone so gonna start with that.

Then middle to end of september going to use my 5-3-2 direct and quick. With wing backs and AP.

Then my 4-1-3-2 short passing and wide.

Not sure if i will change every few months or just try to counteract other teams, i will let you know how i get on!!

I would be very interested to see if switching randomly and to very different styles would work. I can't think that it would be very consistent. IMO, you need a reason for playing more direct over shorter, slower vs faster etc.

I've had success in the past having 3 different shapes and switching between them depending on the strength of the opposition and their formation. I don't doubt that you can make this work.

I still find that just different shapes doesnt work for me either, but we will see what happens.

Thanks for all your input.
