Haven't seen anyone mention Christian Benitez yet,played him as a lone striker in a poacher role in my everton save and scored 30-40 goals as I won both cups and came 2nd in the league.
 
Higuain, the best striker in the game, more than 50 goals and 10 assists per season, nuff said.
 
All of the ones said above(except Heskey offcourse :D ) and Adeabayor!!! He can picked up cheaply from transfer list and bangs in goals for fun!!!

Although not a player for a bigclub, he managed to score most goals in the league 2 years in a row ( CCC and EPL, 45, 38).He simply goes straight at goal

Fernando Torres has been absolutely amazing as a poacher on my story.
13 goals out of eleven games, plus a few assists.
David Villa is also a very good poacher too.
 
Abel Hernández. he has made 236 apps, 84 assists and scored 207 goals for my liverpool team as a poacher in 8 seasons! and he's still only 28 years old so he has at least 5 years in the tank!!
