This is a thread where you can post the graetest team of all time
You can do it as a global team or a national team
**please note

As in a mixture of players from all eras? Or a team that actually played together irl that we remember?

Also, this is in the wrong section..

sorry never noted it can be either.the greatest team that played or the greatest players in a team
sorry if i put it in the wrong section

Greatest Ever Real Team - Brazil 1970.
Greatest Team (Made up) -

Zoff
Cafu - Baresi - Beckenbauer - Paolo Maldini
Garrincha - Zidane - Cruyff - Maradona
Pele - Puskas

Couldnt agree more with the team named above, Garrincha was the greatest footballer ever in Brazilian footballer.

barcelona current team will surpass any team ever! i watch them every week and they play exactly the same every single week... i mean to put 5 past jose and madrid is one thing but to score 5 goals in 7 games this year is unreal

Schmeichel
Cafu - Desailly - Maldini - Carlos
CRonaldo - Zidane - Rivaldo - Messi
Shearer - Ronaldo

subs :
Pele
Maradona
Ronaldinho
Beckham
Terry
Garrincha
Baresi
Cruyff

Interesting, some Brazilian experts disagree. V. good choices though overall, superb squad. Two sweepers would be interesting. :P

Seeing as my two CM's are very attacking, thought it would be best to have the most defensive of defenders in my defence :)

Also, picked Cafu for his incredible lungs, and knowing that Maldini can then shift over and make it 3 CB's if necessary :)

Pele was great i agree, but look at Garrincha's past and how he adapted to having weird shaped legs and still achieved the status as possibly the trickiest and fastest winger ever. He more or less created the stepover in a time when skills such as that weren't commonplace.

Still I've always said Pele is the greatest footballer of all time, and I stand by that and always will no matter what anyone says.

But I can understand why some would disagree..

Yeah, the Magical Magyars. That's not the sole reason I posted, I do believe they were the best team in the world. Check the results they had during their peak, it's incredible.

Alfredo di Stefano was a great player and deserves a mention in this thread.

Winning 5 consecutive European Champions Cup's with Real Madrid.
