I have great admiration for Guardiola and his Barcelona/Bayern tactic, after analyzing and experimenting with some FM14 tactics I found none that satisfied my Tiki-Taka hunger, so I turn back to the old Classic FM style and I remembered a tactic created by krunccrni, as you may know we don?t have classic tactic anymore, so what I did is to port this tactic to the new system with Incredible results.
All rights go to krunccrni.
Most important tasks:
1. Possession 65%+
2. Completed passes 400+
3. Playmaker passes 100+

"We play in the other team's half as much as possible because I get worried when the ball is in my half" he says. "We're a horrible team without the ball so I want us to get it back as soon as possible and I'd rather give away fouls and the ball in their half than ours."
10 things to learn about Bayern Munich
1. Pep space is different. Guardiola gestures his arms many times per game to move forward its defense. Attack while you are defending. The wave or tide comes and the front of the opponent is without stepping on sand. Offside. The ball returns to us. For that, the linesman takes too much prominence. All the time, they will have to raise its flag. The greatest appearance that identifies this equipment is not titles, pressure, or passes. It is the space.. Dante leads the defensive organization. He has art and tactical culture to zonal marking. Their delicate movements benefit to the new top scorer Robben, to the best air game of Muller, to the new playmaker Ribery and to the striker G?tze. Fundamental, funny, and now, obedient to the Councils of Guardiola.
In the first final of the world cup in 1930 Argentina and Uruguay exhibited a game with 2 defenders, 3 midfielders and 5 men on attack. This tactics were charging up with pragmatism through time, from2-3-5 to 4-4-2, but, Can we play with 2 defenders in actual football, well Guardiola has mounted a good argument, like in their past Bayern games against Man Utd. And Dortmund, on the first 45 min of game he has setup a similar tactic like in the beginnings of football, with 2 fullback situated as attacking midfielders, in the search for new movements and to block the movement of their rival also generating a great quantity of passes and moving the ball dynamically.
If we observed the average positioning of Bayern players against Man Utd. We can observed an inverted Pyramid that promoted this Dynamic Football of Possession Football, commonly known as Tiki-Taka. When Guardiola setup his match , he usually starts with a 4-1-4-1 that eventually changes to a 2-3-5, that in this transiction gives freedom to the Centre midfielder to develop the game by not having 2 attacking midfielders, but 4 that can go as 2 attacking midfielder and 3 Strikers with 1 Fake striker and have 3 defenders, this is the magic of Guardiola.

Now Barcelona
Then there is possession: the top nine passers in La Liga are all Barcelona players. But that is not just an attacking option, it is a defensive one too. "There is no rule like in basketball that says you have to hand over possession or shoot after a certain amount of time, so 'attack' and 'defence' don't exist" Lillo says. Not in Barcelona's model. Barcelona attack to defend; when they lost to Arsenal, Guardiola was angry with Alves not for attacking too much but for attacking badly. That Barcelona lost because they were caught up the pitch is one reading; Guardiola's reading is that had they scored they would not have been caught on the break.
"Barcelona are the only team that defend with the ball; the only team that rests in possession" Lillo says. "They keep the ball so well, they move so collectively, that when you do get it back, you're tired, out of position and they're right on top of you."
"They move the ball so fast that by the time you get there, it's gone. You end up desperate, and shattered." As Rexach notes, Barcelona even waste time with possession. Most teams would go down to the corner; Barcelona would rather keep the ball between themselves.
Tiki-taka
The blaugrana?s style of play focuses on the constant movement of the ball to retain possession, otherwise known as tiki-taka. This is underlined by the fact that Barcelona have averaged 747 passes per game in the league this season, over 200 more than any side in Europe?s top five leagues (Arsenal have made 530 per game).
The build-up
Barcelona tend not to pass the ball around their own backline too much, but rather around the middle of the pitch. Just 12% of their passes have been in the defensive third this season in the Champions League (the lowest proportion in the competition), while 61% have been in the middle third of the pitch (the highest proportion).
Intense pressure, high possession and fluid short passing have become trademarks of their game.
Employ Intelligent Movement
Lionel Messi?s movement off the ball is just phenomenal. The Argentine has a real knack of dragging entire defences out of position leaving every team he faces hopelessly exposed. It?s impossible to say whether Barcelona?s playing style is wide or narrow because it changes all the time keeping sides on their toes and making them almost impossible to beat. A team adopting this style of play needs to be clever and not be afraid to let wingers play very loose position-wise.
Utilise Lionel Messi?s ?Fake Number 9′ role
We touched on the impeccable movement of Lionel Messi earlier in this article but his role as the ?fake number 9′ is key to Barcelona?s attack. The term ?fake number 9′ has mainly come into popular domain this season and has been used to describe how the Argentine ghosts in and out of a fake number 9 strikers role to drag defenders out of position during a match.
Whilst we?re not expecting teams to possess a player who moves the same way Messi does, a team?s centre forward needs to be very creative when moving into space and possess a canny footballing brain to force defenders out of position and open up space behind.
Defend High Up The Pitch
Whilst most teams at all levels have a habit of retreating frantically back to their defensive trenches whenever they?re caught in possession, Barcelona tend to do the exact opposite and push deeper up the pitch exerting even more pressure in an attempt to win the ball straight back.
It?s no coincidence that Barcelona conceded an average of just 0.55 goals a game a season in La Liga thus proving that defending from the same position you lost the ball can work wonders if you have a team with the fitness and commitment to adhere to such a physically draining tactic.
Be Disciplined
Especially at amateur level there is a burning desire for most players ?to get rid? when under pressure in possession and hoof the ball aimlessly away to safety but watch Barcelona for 90 minutes and you?ll rarely see them play the ball over waist height. What has made Barcelona so successful in recent years is their will to win but in the right way.
No longer is the result the most important aspect of a game and the belief that playing the correct way first and caring about the result second has now been firmly been embedded into the Catalonian club?s culture forever. Barcelona would rather play attractive football and lose as apposed to winning in an ugly way and this is a huge pyschological barrier for teams to overcome if they wish to model their game on Barcelona. Coaches of sides wishing to adopt this style of play need to emphasise that for the short-term winning isn?t important and that teams should always look to play the short simple pass instead of trying the too often unsuccessful long-ball hoof up-field.
So there you have it ? the six main ways any side can start to employ Barcelona?s winning formula.
Please be aware the list above is merely a guide on how teams far and wide can begin to model their style of play on Barcelona. If Pep Guardiola?s men play football in supposedly the correct way, there is no reason why all teams no matter how good shouldn?t begin to do the same.
Teams need so much more than the points mentioned in this article but by sticking to these few principles all sides can begin to emulate Barcelona?s much sought after style of football.
Update
I uploaded 2 new tactics, I started using the Fake 9 Striker role in v2 with offensive style and in v3 I change to control.\
Also in training select ball control and match prep depends on the rival, usaully chose defending set pieces and if you have the advantage you can chose attacking movement or just tactics.
Update
The work on the new fake 9 is going well, maybe on the 21th of April I upload the v4 of this tactic.
The versions of the tactic is not the same but upgraded, they are different tweaks on them, is just to chose the one you like the most
Update
The new tactic tiki taka v3 2.0.tac has slow pace possession, the only problem I encounter was that counter-attacks may occur often, so later I'm going to redesign the defense to take care of this situation, nevertheless enjoy.
Update
The tactic tiki taka v4.tac I tried to improve defense by having the ball being move through defense to midfield faster and also creating goal situations easier, If the team has the chance, they're going to counter-attack, we have more pressure on the mid field & maybe the team is going to try to use more the left wing, In this I tried to create triangles for players to move the ball and don't get stuck, also if playing with Barcelona either Messi or Iniesta are going to have a little more work than usual, a little more offensive tactic and lot of words, enjoy.
Update
In tiki taka v5.tac, It tries to reduce the waste shots and tries to appeal more to moving the ball to finding a good chance that actually finishes in the net, this is just a mere test to see if it improves, also there are more one-touch passes and remember to use this tactics and suit up to your team don't leave them original if is not working with your player, suit it up to your team, enjoy.
Update
In tiki taka v7.tac is a tactic for weaker teams, improves possession over the rival pitch and tries to get a good defense for building counter attacks slowly, I need your info guys to improve my defense on my tactics, I need to know how you get scored and how you are most likely to score, that's all, enjoy.
Update
In tiki taka v6.tac is a surprise.....
More direct play but by working the ball in until is a goal, I was inspired by the total football of Ajax/Holland during Cruyff era it doesn't tries to replicate it, but the players movements are more fluid and intelligent, enjoy.
Update
I going to upload an alternative attacking tactic if you need goals, is the cruyff 3-4-3 is a more offensive style, risky and more opportunities that are created, enjoy.

Fundamental, funny, and now, obedient to the Councils of Guardiola.
- The full-back left his secondary role. A new movement in the thought of Pep. New idea to attack and defend better. Alaba and Rafinha, above all, Lahm or Contento surprised taking a new path in the Bayern attack: internal ruptures. Objective? Free space for Ribery or Robben in the band, Opposition wingers has no reference in the defensive role. Numerical advantage in attack. The rival stood much further back in the field, causing a transition less likely.
- Who occupies position 7? Position-switching and free-spirited attack. Disorganized all defenses that they tried to understand the positions of the players in Bayern. Some German journalists, with another culture on football, still did not with the wording of the system. They keep saying 4-1-4-1, but the real system may seem a 2-3-5 or a 2-8-0, or 2-7-1. I don't know.
- Chaos management. Interpret what is happening. Small modifications in relation to synergies of its players and taking into account what is doing the opponent's turn. Guardiola is part of dynamic coaches. Even more like an NBA coach to one of the Bundesliga. Interventional.
- I will never forget the narrow streets of the small town of Arco in Northern Italy. There, the training first days of Guardiola?s new team took place. Like a lot of coaches, I was there to observe training exercises. I think that one of the major differences between the school that shelters Pep and other coaches occurs by having an anchor training methodology, always, as the whole. Pep trains the whole, not the parts. Or even better, trains the parts but considering always the whole. The vision of Edgar Mor?n and the paradigm of complexity want to enhance that the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
- Relevance in the offensive play of the goalkeepers is vital for Guardiola thinking model. Front Chelsea exhibited Neuer, again. Thanks to him, the team could save seconds and get even more dynamic to attack. The German goalkeeper remembered Rene Higuita, the legendary goalkeeper of the selection of Colombia. But with a German academic touch. Neuer is always encouraged to leave their area. Courage that allows a better team.
- Good passes cut transition. Defensive transitions worried Guardiola. He noted that in the Bundesliga were specialists in counterattacks. How do you solve it? With better and better possessions of the ball. A good attack aborts any possibility of transition of rival. The offensive movements of its players enabled a better defense. The culture of the Counterattack vs. the spirit of Cruyff and the Possession of the ball.
- Who should play in the most important area for Guardiola? Smart players, which do not lose the ball and interpret the positions to generate better contexts to your colleagues with passes. That is the important thing. It doesn't matter that they do not have muscles of Patrick Vieira. But if they have the discipline of Lahm, Kroos position and Thiago ability, they can play there.
- Tower of Pisa. Cliche says that Guardiola doesn't like the centreforward. This year has shown that this is not the case. Sometimes perhaps fallen in some band, like the Tower of Pisa, but he was present. Important in team play. For many times, the solution to rival locks.
- The world will always be better.
In the first final of the world cup in 1930 Argentina and Uruguay exhibited a game with 2 defenders, 3 midfielders and 5 men on attack.
