Has anyone ever sold Gerrard?

Also selling him will incur the wrath of the supporters, watch out for Graffitti with "inserts your name" OUT if you sell gerrard (A)
 
I sold him and Carra in my first season there.

Wanted to totally revamp Liverpool, got Hamsik in instead, and Sakho in defence
 
Never even considered it. I am into my 4th season as Liverpool manager and he is immense. I have him tutoring a wonderkid regen. He is going to be my assistant manager when he isnt good enough anymore and we will be best friends for ever and ever.
 
I wouldn't risk upsetting the fans. I'm through 3 and a half season, he's a regular and carragher has only played like 5 games, but I'd never get rid of either of them. Keep them both as part of the playing and then coaching staff.
 
You cant sell him, anyone who says they have must have used an editor or they have not sold him. Gerrard or Carragher just will not leave the club.
I have tried and tried to sell them both but no clubs ever offer for them, and they both say they are unwilling to leave the club.

So dont **** them off trying to sell them they wont leave anyway. The way Gerrard left my club in the end was when his contract ran out I didnt renew it
 
When I offered Gerrard to clubs, he came back with the replay that he wants to ends his career with liverpool! there no point selling him his attributes are immense...might as well keep him and get him to tutor youths bring in a decent regen and get him tutored and by the time gerrard retires the regen will be fine to take over!
 
Unless over £100 million is up front, with a fantastic younger player is exchanged to potentially attempt to fill the gap then i wouldn't even give it a second glance.

One of the best Central midfielders ever IMO, with his overall attributes, one of my favourite players of all time, can't help but envy him. And HATE the ****** ***** **** when he plays against you IRL, purely due to fear of his ability to win the game on his own...
 
It'd be incredibly foolish to sell Gerrard in a non-challenge game for a few reasons:
  • His ability. Some people may think "oh, he's 30 so he's getting on a bit", but that's not true. After a couple of seasons his stats do drop, but not much (physical stats were still in double figures for me even at 37!).
  • His influence. He's a cult hero at the club and even if you try and sell him, there's no way that any price you get for him will be good enough. Plus the fans and the board will hate you if you even do, the players' morale will drop significantally too.
  • He's still useful even when his attributes deplete, because his mental stats are still amazing and has a model professional personality (I think, correct me on that one). He's the perfect tutor for the Jonjo Shelvey, who you should really have to replace him when Gerrard eventually does retire.
Sure there's a few more reasons, but yeah. <)
 
Yes, in FM2010 to myself (i was Chelsea and wanted a super team) but i cheated (H)
 
as i said, weather or not its a good or bad idea to sell him is ireleavent, you cant sell him he just never leads
 
I tried it first season and I got 35 million from inter but in 2015 he is amazing for england, he got player of the world cup and in team of the tournament but has lost his place in my team
 
Never sell him. In FM 10 I got attached to the guy. His leadership skills were unsurpassed and inspired many wins and comebacks, and the same in FM 11. And also, as I am a bit to attached to the game, I found it to hard to let him go, and when he retired I felt actually gutted. But he made a great manager too, and we're still good friends. In the game.
 
I've sold him once.. I sold Gerrard, Torres, Carragher & Johnson.. And just bought young players as I wanted to make it a little harder..

Getting Carragher to leave is epically hard.
 
He still has beastly physical stats at 37 (on my save) and is a consistent performer.. You'd have to have a peanut for a brain if you want to sell him.
 
**** no! If you sell Gerrard, Liverpool would be against you. I'd keep him until he is available as a coach.

Sell Masch or Lucas.
