Has anyone managed to buy Ronaldo or Messi for a small club?

By which i mean you could of been a league 2 side but got them to win the champions league. And with all that success you where able to buy Ronaldo or Messi.
 
I tried a save with city and had a £169 mil bid accepted for messi but he wanted £400,000 a week £18 mil loyalty bonus and £18mil agent fee and not even city's budget could afford him :) so can't see a league 2 side getting him even if you we're promoted to prem and won the champs league! Maybe as a coach tho after he's retired :)
 
I got Messi in 2016 at Liverpool (after 5 league and 2 Champions league wins), cost me £130 at the age of 28! He's on £275,000 a week, only got it down because I put a minimum fee release clause in which lowers wages! :)

Has gotten 122 goals and 35 assists in 118 games...:)

And it would be difficult to get him as it still takes time for a clubs reputation to rise, especially rising from league 2!!

(Oh I also got Ronaldo at 32...:) )
