First time for everything.

Im playing as sunderland in my second season.

I see Yaya Toure is sitting in the man City reserves and is available.

I have never asked the board to sign me a player, but I let them do this.

First stage I get a 6.75 million pound big accepted, they wanted 8 so they cut off 1.25 there. Not a bad start.

Second step contract Accepted, thought that was good news. Saw he was on 180k a week and thought they wouldnt have pulled out if he wanted that.

He signs and hes on 180k a week.

I get a message saying about top earners and that Neymar, Paulo Henrique & My 19 year old RB (name escapes me) will also be earning 180k a week.

Neymar was on £69k
Henrqiue was on £40K
RB was on £79k

Now my club recently had to have a loan gifted to them due to finance issues. yet they go and not just approve, bargain on my own half a player on 180k a week ?

My finances seem very shakey now. Next time I try and get NEymar , Paulo and the RB to sign new contracts, they will be wanting 200k +.

Excessive much ?

Im meant to be spending 925k on wages but now spend 1,333,000.

Managed to sell £10 million pounds worth of scrap but still.

Next time when giving Neymar, Henrique and RB a contract dont give them a match top earner clause and you wont be in this problem

itll be a clause in their contracts to match the highest earner - i avoid using this clause at all costs because you always tend to forget about it and this happens and bites you in the **** further down the line.

when you signed these players, in their contracts you had the "match highest paid earner clause" and there is nothing you can do about it unfortunately mate!

nonononono

Not talking about that.

I know that was in their contracts except the RB.

Isn't it a bit odd for your chairman to pay somebody 180k a week.

Knowing they 3 more players will more than double their wages and considering I was only 50k under my wage budget before any of this happened ?

You cant do much now unfortunately. When you offer them a new contract, remove the clause and offer the agent alot more money, and you will see them accepting a lower contract, but bear in mind, it wont be extremely lower wages.

I'm confused, to be on "match highest earner" you actually need to be the/ one of the highest earners. So really they should have all been earning the same.. But nonetheless, never put match highest earner clauses in!! P.s yaya toure sucks dude, no wonder your in debt wasting millions on players like him! :p

They see it is a massive signing, and when you go to your board to sign a player, they dont go to haggle the prices etc. They only go because you see it is a very important signing that should be signed what ever the cost.

Well Actually when you only have £800k to spend and need a new DMC because your other one keeps getting sent off and booked and doesn't listen to your comments hes actually quite good *Cough* Lee Cattermole *Cough*

Kind of lucky my team is future proof for a few seasons, dont need to invest much next season and can bump my wages up.

Exactly what I thought.

always negotiate yourself and never allow for a match highest earner clause. If you're strict you never have to worry about money. I'm with Everton about to start my 6th season having won the prem 2 years in a row and just won the champions league...I don't have any players with wages over £100k p/w.

1) never ask your board to sign players (they always overpay)
2) make sure you do not offer the match highest earner fee (they will negotiate it you increase wage or signing on fee)
3) dont buy Toure, he is kak
4) reload your save to before you signed Toure and learn from this mistake!

lol... someone's going bankrupt.

Yup that was exactly my worry lol

I have managed to rid rid of Kieran Richardson on £30k

Gyan on £60k + £4million

Garra Dembele on £20k + £5.5 Million

However I'm still in trouble.

Well I would have if it was my game.

Network game, and im not the host... when i signed him and he saw the wages he was LOLing, I didnt tell him 3 players matched his wages.

Shame he got sacked from Fulham and is now managing Hull in the championship. Punishment enough ?

No, I loaned out Kadlec to him and recalled him nearly instantly.
