help game not working

I was hoping some one would be able to help me.

I Got football manger 2010 about 3 weeks ago and it was working fine up until 2 days ago. Since then It won't work

It will either come up with a few errors
1. The black screen error-- the screen become smaller and the changes to black and is non repsoive. you then have to force shut.
I have tried the solution suggested in other forums where you use a shortcut and change the target. This has not worked

or
2. The programme starts and then disappears. It can be seen running the .exe in processes but nowhere else. the process has to be stopped as when you click on the launch it simply says already running

3. It says that it is out of memory. I have 40Gb hard disk free and 4Gb of Ram

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game several time (including in safe mode) some times it says that it hasn't installed correctly other time it does.

I have reinstalled DirectX9c (both in and out of safe mode, from teh disc and web site and also form another game)

I have tried changing the compatibility and running as an administrator with no luck. I have downloaded the first patch which doesn’t run.

I am running windows 7 and as I s explained at the beginning it was working for about 3 weeks and then for no reason simply stopped.

I have run out of ideas and would appreciate any ideas that people might have. All the installation have been done from the DVD. I am currently working abroad so I have limited bandwidth in terms of using Steam

Just as a thought. Try doing a disk defragment or disk clean up on your computer. Both of these are accessible by Start >> All Programs >> Accessories >> System Tools.

Uninstall the game before doing these as the problem might be sorted then.

This is just my idea. This never happened to me before so this might not work.

probably a mistake have happened while the game was running and that error not deleted while uninstalling. Try Unistallin it once again, after that erase all your files from both Program files/sports Interactive and My Documents/Sports Interactive(Your save will be deleted so maybe you can cut-paste it). Install it again, try to open it again.

I don't have W7 but if you can take it's system time(I don't know its name in english sorry) to three days before(In XP there is a tool that returns your system's setting to a time at past you desire). Of course do this before you do my first advice!

sorry never happened to me......try clean up your computer and then reinstall the game

I manged to get it working by setting up a new user and running it form there, so far no problems

That is odd why that would work. Post back here if you run into problems again. Is this new user on the same Operating system and on the same Hard drive and same partition.
