I'm thinking of taking on Aston Villa, Stoke or someone like that and only buying players up to the age of 20. That will mean I can't just sell older players as it would take years to replace them, I'd have to work with what's there, the youth would stand more chance over the years, facilities and coaches would have to be improved over a course of years, I wouldn't be able to sell players willynilly, so budget would be fairly small.
The good thing about this is that the club would be run with a long term strategy, which will mean if I am realistic with my expectations, a 7th place finish in the prem might be the norm for a while. What will be interesting will be seeing if a club with that system could hang on to their young players, or, if some of them will have to be sold in order to bring in more young players and for the sake of squad harmony. I can see all sorts of challenges within this.
Have you though about a scenario situation rather than a set team?
