I am pretty sure you can. When starting a new game, you select from the patches that you have downloaded (or have automatically updated) and then click OK.
Thanks, im trying to play a network game with my friends and i have the latest patch and they cant connect to me when i click 11.1 patch instead of the 11.2 patch, and when they host it says the same cant connect message

Network game is a different matter
All participants need the same latest patch (they will all need 11.2 to play with you)
You could uninstall the game and re-install only with the 11.1 patch if you want to play with them
