Help with getting Messi to score/perform in my chelsea side

Hey,

I signed Messi in my second season as he was transfer listed, but anyways, i cant seem to get him to score/assist/perform like he did for Barcelona in the 1st season, in the second season i played him right attacking mid set as an inside forward but only managed to get 6 goals in league, i had to rely on pato and dzeko to get me the goals, since start of third season ive been playing him as a centre attacking mid, and set as trequartista but has only managed 3 goals in 8 apps.

If you have any ideas on how to play him or a formation which i can download and to play him in a certain position would be great.

Try him as advanced playmaker in AMR or play him as a false nine in FC. (deep lying forward or trequartista)
 
Edit his individual instructions to get the best out of him.
 
AMR, Inside Forward Attack, Creative Freedom to maximum, short passing, Run with ball often, Cross sometimes.
 
Make sure you don't have many players with high creative freedom. Messi should have maximum, and 1 or 2 more players above high. The others should have normal or low.
 
in all honesty 3 goals in 8 isnt too bed I know hes messi but still there will be games where he bag hat tricks against smaller clubs etc.
 
Are you playing two strikers? He can't really cut inside and score if there's already two players occupying the areas he would run.
 
Getting more goals and better performances from him in AMC - Advanced Playmaker - Attack

You would think that, but when it comes to playing against smaller teams, hes ratings become worse :(

Yeah, i am playing 2 strikers, I allways play with 2 strikers, i had a game with real madrid going and playing same formation but different settings for the different league and Ronaldo seemed to score loads more, think he got 20+ in one season for me
 
I've never been able to get Messi to perform without only playing one striker as there just isn't enough space for him to get into the box.
